I am working on reference drawings which contain any number of parts. Is there a way to insert these parts as blocks, and put them together without lines showing from a part that is "under" a second? As of now I have used the Break at Point command but this can become very time consuming.

Open the XREF file, use BLOCK or WBLOCK command to create what you need.
Then INSERT into your file.

You could play around with wipeouts and text masks in LT: explore in help.
Not sure how well it does as part of an Xref. Find out.

Are you trying to:

a) take an existing block, and make part of it a block WITHIN the original block

b) take an existing block, and make two blocks
( new block and original block )

c) take an existing block, and make a block out of just the desired pieces of the original block

either way, youll have to select the block
type "explode" ( this 'unblocks' the block )
then select the pieces you want
type "block"
and so forth

I basically am trying to show that a part which is physically in front of another does not show lines from the object behind. Is there a white fill or something?
